Overview

Stimuluz Technologies designed and developed a secure, easy-to-use mobile insurance application for Prudential Life Insurance, giving customers the ability to check, initiate claims, view active policies, purchase new policies, view and download statements and manage their accounts directly from their smartphones — without needing to visit a branch.

The Challenge

Prudential Life Insurance customers increasingly expected the convenience of app-based insurance service, but the insurance digital channels had not kept pace with modern customer expectations. Account access was largely tied to branch visits and USSD codes, which limited functionality and created friction for tech-savvy customers. The insurance needed a mobile solution that could connect securely to its core insurance system, meet strict financial-sector security and data-protection standards, and offer an experience simple enough for first-time digital insurance users while still supporting frequent, tech-comfortable customers.

The Solution

Stimuluz partnered with Prudential Life Insurance technical and compliance teams to design and build a mobile insurance app from the ground up. The project began with UX research and journey mapping to understand how different customer segments insure day-to-day, followed by UI design focused on clarity and trust. On the engineering side, the app was integrated with the insurance core insurance platform through secure APIs, with multi-layered authentication (PIN and biometric login), encrypted data transmission, and session controls built in from the start rather than added later.

The app has strengthened the insurance digital proposition, giving it a mobile channel that reflects the same security and reliability standards customers expect from their insurance company, while opening the door to faster onboarding and everyday convenience for both new and existing customers.
